The objective of the new Epicenter website is a user content driven, collaborative and interactive virtual community with the goal of leveraging the strengths of the community and addressing the challenges in the community by allowing the community, friends of the community and partner organizations to: Post challenges and discuss solutions in the forum Identify and create projects that are generated through the forum of ideas Signup to volunteer or attend events or activities Sponsor activities Post events or activities that can connect services to the needs of the community

Mission Epicenter exists to take the youth of Baltimore from the corner to a career. Vision Epicenter exists to take the youth of Baltimore from the corner to a career by providing a safe, fun, encouraging, caring and accepting environment and by building practical and empowering skills through education and performing arts. In addition, by connecting partner organization that provide specialized services with the needs of the community, Epicenter is taking a holistic and sustainable approach to impacting and improving the lives and opportunities that exist for the youth of East Baltimore.

Epicenter’s goal is to build a sustainable and comprehensive model in East Baltimore by serving the entire community impacting and improving the lives and opportunities of the youth of the community. Epicenter can do this by working to understand the real and felt needs of the community by engaging the community in dialogue and by being part of the community. Epicenter is not the solution, we are part of the solution and with the community’s involvement together we will understand the needs to establish a support net of services that address these real and pressing needs.
